WORKS.


Keith Haring was born in Reading, PENSILVANIA (USA) on MAY, 4TH 1958 .
He started drawing CARTOONS very young, influenced by his father and other famous creators like Dr. SEUSS and WALT DISNEY .
He opened his first exhibit at the Pittsburgh ARTS and CRAFTS Center in 1978 .
In NEW YORK City he met thriving artists like Jean-Michel BASQUIAT  and was influenced by Robert Henn´s manifesto THE  ART SPIRIT .
In 1986 he opened the POP SHOP in Soho, selling different items with his white men chalked-painted images.
He began to colaborate with charity foundations and hospitals. In 1986 he paainted the mural Crack is Wack that´s become a landmark in NEW YORK .
He became famous for his solo and group exhibitions and colaborated with artists such as GRACE Jones, Madonna and Andy Warhol.
Keith Haring died of AIDS related complications on FEBRUARY 16TH, 1990 when he was 31 .
