Once we´ve worked the history of St. George in class you´re going to read the following letter. Hi, there. This is Tom. Next May 23rd will be Saint George. Do you know who he was?. St. George was the son of a poor family in the fourth century in the current Syria. Same as his father he was a soldier and fought for the Roman Emperor Augusto. This emperor executed Jews, George refused to do it so he was imprisoned and executed on March 23rd, 303 in Israel. Once George travelled to Egypt and found a poor knight.
